Marrying a muslim??any advice please?

He's Egyptian Muslim, im Christian he wants to get married this week at a mosque. Im not a virgin but he is and hes still willing to marry me, but he said he doesn't want my parents knowing yet nor his he said wen the time is right, and he has to give me a large amount or money or a gift and he wants to get me a place. But im wondering y do u think he wants it to be a secret now ?? Is it bcuz im a not a virgin??
