40 days before Ramadan, why so special? only relevant to alcohol or...?

Ramadhan is a Holy month, we keep fasts, give money to charity. This month helps us change to be better Muslims, the ones that do drink (really shouldn't) have to stop at least 40 days before otherwise their fasts won't be accepted nor their prayers. The Mosques be very busy during the month of Ramadhan with all 5 prayers especially at night for Taraweeh prayer. Men should pray at home while women pray at home, but women can go pray at the Mosque if they choose to. I can't wait 5-6 weeks left :) fasts are closed before sunrise and opened when it gets darks, will be harder as we're going in to summer, will be like this for a few years. But like every year it's a challenge and I love it, such a peaceful month, wish every month could be like this.
